Originally from the southeast of England, Richard grew up exploring the scenic English countryside. These early experiences instilled a deep appreciation for the benefits landscape can provide for health and well-being. His love of the outdoors led him to study and practice horticulture for over 10 years, where he worked in a range of positions in private homes, elite sports facilities, and mental health care.
In 2019 Richard made the decision to develop his skills further and pursue a career in landscape architecture. He graduated in 2023 with a first-class Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture from Leeds Beckett University.
Richard arrived in the United States in 2024. Inspired by the rich natural environments and culture, he is motivated to design landscapes that respond to their context and the people that inhabit them.
