Gemma is passionate about designing landscapes that deepen connections between people and nature. She enjoys getting out on site to discover the potential in our diverse and ecologically rich landscapes. Seeing each site in its broader context is supported by her multidisciplinary background in ecological design, landscape architectural history, and exhibition design.
She believes the best landscapes emerge through collaboration, and creating places that are deeply rooted in the unique ecology and character of each site.
Gemma was raised in the Rocky Mountains of western Canada and holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of British Columbia.
